Houston Plastic Surgeon – Dr. Chris Patronella
Dr. Chris Patronella is recognized and respected nationwide for his development and refinement of techniques to improve the aesthetic results and safety of plastic surgery procedures. As a founding partner of one of the largest private aesthetic plastic surgery practices in Texas, the Houston-based Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery, Dr. Patronella has developed a reputation for excellence in combining surgical expertise with artistic skill that draws patients from around the nation and across the globe. In addition to being named one of the nation’s leading providers of plastic surgery in a Goldline Research study published in Forbes magazine, his physician peers have consistently voted him one of Houston’s top plastic surgeons in polls conducted by H Texas Magazine and Health and Fitness magazine.
Dr. Patronella is considered by many to be one of the nation’s foremost specialists in both body contouring and breast enhancement procedures. Medical aesthetics leader, Allergan Medical, invited Dr. Patronella, as the only plastic surgeon in the greater Houston area, to become a charter member of the Board of Advisors for NOVO, The National Council of Leaders in Breast Aesthetics. His skill and excellent safety record in body contouring led Ethicon, Inc. to invite him to join the national board of advisors for Shaping Futures, a group which developed safety and procedural recommendations related to body contouring surgery for weight loss patients.
Dr. Patronella’s development of advanced techniques for aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring has led to speaking invitations to some of the most prestigious plastic surgery organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. His research focused on safety recommendations for body contouring surgery received the “Best Published Article in Aesthetic Surgery of 2008”―an award that was jointly given by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation.
Dr. Patronella received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas. He completed his internship and surgical residency at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, followed by a plastic surgery fellowship at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Patronella is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds the prestigious honor of being selected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
